The JBU Supertrial presented by RVCA 2016 is a surfing contest and is the most prestigious invite-only event in South Africa, with 24 of the country’s top surfers invited to compete.

The waiting period for the JBU Supertrial is 1 – 12 June, with one full day needed to run the event to completion. The JBU Supertrial is presented by RVCA. Co-sponsors include Monster Energy, Stance and Oakley.

The winner of the JBU Supertrial presented by RVCA wins a wild card into the main event of the World Surf League’s JBay open, the only Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour event on the continent. The waiting period for the JBay Open is the 6- 17 July.

The JBU Supertrial is sanctioned by Surfing South Africa and the World Surf League.
